This is the final logo iteration for the Collaborative Conservation Network, a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of the California ecosystem.
Prior to this final logo design, it contained only a falcon, a hand, and a leaf. Soon thereafter, I and some other discovered there was a fish in there. It's funny how I didn't plan there to be a fish, the fish just appeared to us. I made several version of the fish, and showed the client the best Fish version, as well as a version without the fish. The client and I both felt the fish would be a good addition to the logo, as now the logo covers earth, air, and water.
I also tracked out the type a little bit. I hadn't noticed earlier, but there were some kerning issues between certain letters. They're now all fixed.
The client loved this logo so much, they're having me make a complete identity package, now. This includes business cards, letterhead, envelopes, press release forms, as well as a postcard announcing their new look. It'll all be printed on 100% recycled paper, of course.
Haha, what I find humorous is that the first thing I saw when this logo's thumbnail caught my eye was what looked like a disgruntled emoticon. Look at the image as a whole and you'll see it. Like a drunk Pac-Man perhaps. Aside from that, it's a lovely logo with all of the imagery involved.
