Your favorite creative community is coming to SXSW in March 2011!

DeviantART.com will have its own lounge space situated in prime Austin Convention Center real estate, where lots of amazing happenings will happen. We want to introduce this community and its incredible creativity to the world, and we figured SXSW was a perfect place to do it.

SXSW takes place in Austin, Texas. We'll be present from March 11-15, 2011. If you'd like to check it out, be sure to register here.
If you can't make it, don't worry, we'll have a devmeet in Austin too. Details for that will be coming soon.

I need to go research this SXSW thing now! If they're calling this lounge the Sandbox, does that mean they'll have an actual gigantic sandbox that would fit hundreds of people inside the convention center?

Alas, we couldn't bring in actual sand nor a sandbox. The term is more a metaphor for a creative gathering place. We want to reignite the fires of creativity that everybody once had when they were children, when something as simple as a pile of sand could be a construction site or even a castle.
