It made an impression on me, and since then, for the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: 'If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?' And whenever the answer has been 'No' for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something. Remembering that I'll be dead soon is the most important tool I've ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Because almost everything — all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure — these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important.    First of all, thank you so much for allowing us to interview you! If you don't mind, could you tell us briefly how it was that you came to be an official staff member, and about how long ago that was? I'm happy to participate! Right to it, then. I believe I was first made a staff member back in the early 2000's...somewhere around 2002, perhaps. Back then the site was tiny, and so all of us members knew each other. My obsession with the site, at the time, was probably stronger than most and so I was given some minor staff duties like helping to organize content and dole out policy violations. The site has grown incredibly since those days, and our staff is far more specialized now, but back then everybody sort of did everything. Wow!
